Amy Winner of Nielsen-Kellerman in Chester, Pennsylvania has arranged for the donation of a Kestrel windmeter valued at $119 for use in our raffle.
A Kestrel windmeter is an excellent piece of safety equipment, allowing a pilot to more accurately assess launch conditions before committing to flight. All Kestrels report instantaneous, maximum, and average wind speeds; the 'thermo' model also reports temperature and wind chill (very handy for winter flying!). You'll have a chance to check out the Kestrel during registration, and of course a lucky pilot will walk away with it on Saturday night!
This is the second straight year that Amy and Nielsen-Kellerman have donated a Kestrel for our raffle; we owe her and NK many thanks for their support!
