Clicking on a weather link in the frame to the left will display a map within this "welcome" frame. This works well if you have a large monitor. If not, try using an appropriate mouse button to "Open Link In New Tab", rather than clicking on a link. The weather map will then be displayed within its own browser tab/window.
If you find that the font used for the weather links is difficult to read: Most modern web browsers allow you to increase/decrease a web page's font size using simple keyboard shortcuts. With Firefox, for example, press and hold the Control (Ctrl) key and the Plus (+) key simultaneously to increase font size. To decrease font size, use Control (Ctrl) and the Minus (-) key.
Weather maps are often timestamped with UTC (universal coordinated time) or 'Zulu' time. Here's a conversion table that converts these times to Eastern Time (EST and EDT).

might encounter:
